… is a Membership Program to assist new members and interested visitors in feeling connected to the Pacific Unitarian Church community by enabling relationship building with other congregants, and involvement in church activities of interest.  Our coordinators is Tracy Lewis.

The Buddy Program consists of 1-on-1 Buddy Matches and Periodic Social Mixers. Participation is open to all interested new members and visitors.

1:1 Buddy Matches

New members and visitors who would like to participate will be assigned a Buddy from a pool of established members who have volunteered to be Buddies.  Our Buddy Program Coordinators will do their best to assign a Buddy with some shared interests and matching preferences. For three months, the Buddy will help familiarize the new member / visitor with PUC programs and activities, and introduce him/her to other PUC congregants. The Buddy will attend events with the new member/visitor, or introduce him/her to someone who is attending the event. Your Buddy is also your resource for your questions about the church; if your Buddy doesn’t know the answer, he/she can find the right person to talk to.

Social Mixers

Periodically mixers will be planned for paired and unpaired Buddies, new members and visitors. The atmosphere will be casual and informal – just another chance to mingle and to get to know others. These mixers are also an opportunity for New Members and Visitors, and Buddies to self-match.
