Intro to UU & PUC
Membership conducts this orientation class for visitors every 3rd Sunday of the month after Service in Shuder Library. An overview of Unitarian Universalism and our specific faith community is provided. It is a great time to ask your questions. Registration is not required, but is appreciated. Childcare is available with notice to the Membership Director. Attendance of the class is a prerequisite to membership.12 Months to a More Compassionate Community: An in-depth study of Karen Armstrong's book Twelve Steps to a Compassionate Life
Every 4th Sunday on the month (except instead on 1/29/2012), 9:00-10:15 a.m. a Reflection Group will be held to discuss one chapter (in order) of 12 Months to a Compassionate Community - A reflection on The 12 Steps to a Compassionate Life in Shuder Library. To learn more and participate:

NEW UU
Eight-week orientation class begins March 17, Saturdays 10.30-12 noon. Child care provided with advance notice. This is a MUST for people new to the congregation! At the end of the class we will recognize our newest members during the worship service and they will be invited to continue to meet as a group. In other words, this is a great way to learn about what we believe and then be a part of a small group ministry right away. Rev. Morehouse will be leading most of the sessions.Theological Academy
UU History
UU History, the next in our Theological Academy, begins Saturday Feb. 4th.
Join Rev. Morehouse in this four-session introductory course on our history and polity. Everyone is welcome to attend. Credit is available for those attending and writing the final paper. Register through the church office.
Runs 2/4, 2/11, 2/25, 3/5. 10.30-12 noon. Childcare available on request.

103: Power and Authority
February 13-7pm
This workshop distinguishes between power and authority, and between leadership and management. The group explores the implicit and explicit expectations of a congregational leader.203: Integrity
February 27-7pm
Participants name and embrace that which sustains and grounds them and learn how this self-knowledge can help them lead from a place of creativity and imagination, rather than reactivity. The workshop offers models to help individuals and leadership teams support and reinforce the integrity of those entrusted with leadership positions in our congregations.303: Keeping Distress Productive
March 12-7pm
This workshop explores conflict and difficult behavior as signs that a congregation has a deeper issue to bring forth. Participants will learn tools to discern and address the emotions and concerns that feed a congregational conflict. They will also learn strategies for responding to difficult behavior and resources for managing and transforming high level or intractable congregational conflict.*The Leadership Academy is a drop-in, interactive workshop style learning experience.
